MBALEHLE – Unemployed people of Embalenhle formed a local employment development forum wherein their skills will enhance employment opportunities. Mpumalanga Province is one of the coalmine populated area.
Moreover most local artisans struggled to find jobs while non-local residence get employed. Remedy, the forum liaised directly with local mines and reached an agreement of prioritizing local employment. Sasol in Secunda is among the mines that adhere to the call. About 2 800 people were employed regardless of being a non-permanent employment.
According to Thabo Ramabu, chairperson of the forum, denoted the fact they play a crucial role hence they applied on behalf of the unemployed individuals who struggled to raise travelling fares, to mentioned a few. “We approach different companies and submit according to their qualification requirements. In return those companies contact us when they need people.
The forum pleaded with companies to assist youth in terms of training and skills development so that they can be employable.” Rambabu thank the local driving school for its zest of social responsibility in their local community. “Through the assistance of our local driving school we are training ladies for driving,” said Ramabu.
The members gather at Embalenhle stadium to empower each other and provide assistance where needed.
